Autumn Rain

from by In Ashes

I’m holding on, dreaming the same dream.
Have I seen the last light fade?
The wolves are screaming at my door, “Can I come in?”
I close my eyes, dreaming of a paradise.
Where the sun shines one more time,
I can hear the songs of the waves and wind.
I watch the ocean and the sand caress my skin.
I’m no stranger to struggle; I contend.
Guide me to the other side where storms no longer rain on me.
They can’t rain on me.

In Ashes Gold Coast, Australia

Part Architects, part Deftones and with a hint of post rock, In Ashes takes a modern melodic hardcore approach and adds some much-needed breadth, interspersing breakdowns and detuned riffage with ambient instrumental passages.
